2011, you were good to me.
2011 was an all around great year. I spent the first half happily pregnant and anxious to meet our baby boy. During the second half, we’ve been busy watching our children grow and enjoying the beautiful changes within our family. The past few months have brought more change, as Sean moved forward with a new and exciting career opportunity at the beginning of December. I am so content with where I stand right now, that biding farewell to 2011 feels bittersweet. I am, however, always excited to turn the page and face the unknown that a new year holds. I pray that 2012 is full of happiness and good fortune for my family and friends!
I’ve pulled together a “year in pictures”, at least one from each month, just to see how far the past 12 months have brought us. I enjoyed looking back and remembering all of the memories that were made during this extra special year.
January
It's a Boy! We found out a baby brother was on the way for Gracie this month!

February
My little sweetie on Valentine's Day.

March
We enjoyed spending lots of time outdoors as the weather warmed up.

April
Planning for Ethan's arrival was well underway. We also enjoyed doing lots of things with Gracie during her last few months as an only child!

May
Gracie turned three years old on the 27th!

June
Ethan joined our family on the 16th... Many happy and beautiful memories were made this month.

July
We spent July adjusting to being parents of two children. I loved having a newborn again.

August
Gracie started preschool!

September
I'm shocked at how much a baby can change in just a few months. Ethan rolled over for the first time and Gracie started taking dance class!

October
Picking pumpkins and costumes was double the fun with Ethan and Gracie to celebrate with.

November
Ethan started solid foods and we spent Thanksgiving in Maryland. I was most thankful for my children and our health this year.

December
Celebrating the holidays with my children has been so wonderful.

In an effort to bring what could be a very long post to an end, I will just say that 2011 was good to me. My children are healthy and happy, all of our needs are met, we are happy. I'm ready for what the coming year will bring. Happy New Year!!!
I LOVE the picture from each month idea. I should copy it! Gracie looks like she came right out of her shell during 2011! Look at her expressions as the year progressed! LOL I miss you guys and hope we can get together soon!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of pictures! 2011 was quite a year, I agree :) I hope you'll post more about Sean's new work opportunity, it sounds exciting!!! I'm hoping 2012 will be the year DH finally gets to move ahead at his work as well!
ReplyDeleteHow neat to reflect back on 2011 in this way, I had a lot of fun remembering all those special times and memories of your year! I too may have to steal your idea ;-) I had so much fun watching your family grow and evolve over the past year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you all! Can't wait to see what 2012 has in store!
