Lucky.
Sean will be home tonight. I am so happy. The iPhone has honestly made it easier to feel connected, with picture messages, videos, and FaceTime in the evenings, but I have missed him so much! Not much longer now!
I'm feeling so lucky today. The weather is absolutely gorgeous! I've been up since 5:45, but I feel so good somehow! Ha! The kids and I were at Target soon after the store opened, picking out the newest member of the My Little Pony collection for Gracie. The deal was, she listened and helped Mommy out while Daddy was away, and she could choose any pony she wanted. I love how hanging a $5 toy over her head all week made my life a little easier. Bribery, I know how to use it to my advantage. Don't judge. :)
While at Target, I grabbed a Caffe Mocha just because I wanted one (maybe I'm still running on that caffeine boost?), then dropped a client's picture disk off at the post office before heading to meet my mom and sister for lunch. It's been a fun, busy day. Both children are napping as I type and I'm pinning all kinds of neat 1st birthday ideas to my "Birthday Party Ideas" Pinterest board. Seriously, I'm going to be making my own tissue paper pom-poms and birthday banner if it kills me.
My girlfriend M stopped by yesterday evening to say hi and drop off a special treat for me. :) Nutella and Sea Salt Stuffed Sugar Cookies. She is so incredibly thoughtful and generous. I definitely feel blessed to have such an awesome person in my life. And then, as if I wasn't already feeling all lucky and special after eating the most delicious cookies ever, my girlfriend J told me she has something special to give Gracie, just because she's cute. I should also mention that my sister bought Gracie a new princess watch and gave it to her today. Yes, my child is completely rotten, but she's also so loved and knows it.
Lucky. I'm definitely feeling it. Warm weather, happy babies, good friends, wonderful husband and family, and Nutella and Sea Salt Stuffed Cookies... Please. Can't get much better than that.

Did she give you Nutella and cookies (separately) or is the Nutella part of the cookies? Because, if so, that sounds too good to be true!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! I bet Gracie feels as blessed and happy as you do.:)
ReplyDeleteI am equally as blessed to have you in my life :-) You've stood by me through tougher times than I could have ever imagined, and been such a support system to me. I am forever grateful for that. You've reinstilled my faith in TRUE friendship. I could go on and on...so, a few cookies? The least I could do to help make your time while Sean was gone a little more fun! I'm so glad you liked the cookies!
ReplyDeleteWe NEED a coffee date SOON! :-) Let's plan one...
