More Totally Random.

I kind of like starting a new post without any intentions. I don't know how interesting these posts really are, but the rambling without much thought is a nice change. :)

I woke up grumpy this morning. I guess the lack of sleep is slowly catching up with me, although waking up to a house that already needs cleaning doesn't help much either. I did accidentally take an hour nap yesterday! Gracie woke me up at 4:30. Must have needed it, but oops!

Sean bought me the Baby Bullet baby food making system while at the beach, kind of an early birthday present. Even though Ethan won't be eating baby food for a couple more months, I was so excited that I went out and bought fresh fruits and vegetables just so I could try it out. I've made a few of their toddler recipes this week for Gracie and they have been big hits! It's cool because she can help me get the ingredients ready to puree, but doesn't really get that I just added half a squash to her mac 'n cheese! I totally recommend this to anyone wanting to make your own baby food, or anyone wanting to sneak veggies into your kids' meals!

I love Adele.. I've never actually endured a bad break-up or experienced the emotions she writes about, but her song Rolling In the Deep makes me want to make Sean pay (even though he's innocent!). I love when a song gets to you emotionally. Someone Like You can bring tears to my eyes, and I'm happily married with two kids! She's such a classy and rare talent...

Gracie has dance class tonight. We missed last week because we were at the beach, so she's excited and has her tights, shoes, and leotard all laid out. I enjoy taking her and watching what I can of her class.

I heard a little voice! Someone is up from their nap! :)

  1. I like your "random" posts; they're like a conversation with you. We are trying to make C's baby food too, although I'm only now (at 4 1/2 months) just starting him on rice cereal once a day, so there's no telling when he'll actually get to eat what I make! Kayden's mom is making all of her son's baby food, so I've gotten a ton of advice from her. I hope you'll post more on this topic as you continue to experiment!

(PS - and thank you for your sweet comment on my post; I appreciate your optimism, especially when I'm full of pessimism.)

  2. I've considered the baby bullet, but was wondering if it was worth the money. (We have a food processor already.)

  3. Adele is my must-listen-to-right-now. I love most every song on her new album! That song "Someone Like You", I love, but at the same time, I want to punch her for even feeling that way about a married man! :-)

I too love your "random" posts!

I can't wait for you to begin the baby food making journey, and I can't wait to help you out in any way possible with it! I loved doing it, and I give you major kudos for wanting to do it, too. I found it to be a great, easy, convenient, thing to do. I never did the math, but I actually think it's cheaper than buying baby food, too. Win-win!
