Weekend.
I'm so glad the weekend is here. Today, we went out to lunch as a family. The kids were so well behaved! We hesitate to eat out because there is no predicting the behavior of small children while out in public. We've had plenty of "we're never eating out again" moments, but the sun was shining and we were lucky to be in the company of two happy children! After lunch, we went to Hobby Lobby just to browse. It has been years since I've been shopping at a Hobby Lobby and I sort of wish I hadn't gone at all! My mind is going wild now with ideas for Gracie's room, as well as every other room in the house. Gracie found a tall floor lamp for her room. :) The lamp shade is bright pink and decorated with feathers!
I've been cooking a lot more lately, and surprisingly, I'm really enjoying the challenge of trying new recipes. Tonight we had Hawaiian Chicken, which we've had before and loved. We also had roasted butternut squash. Sean actually went back for seconds. I haven't decided if this was because he really did like it, or because he wanted to make me happy... :) Either way, he ate it and I genuinely did love it!
Speaking of love... I am totally addicted to Nutella. I want to eat it plain with a spoon. It is so, so yummy! Unfortunately, I'm the only one in the house who feels this way! I couldn't even resist buying it during my latest shopping trip. It basically dove off the shelf into my arms. Yum.
Speaking of food addictions... I'm trying to get into better shape, which means there are a few pounds that need to go. I'm down 5 and that feels pretty good. I'm taking it slow, since I am still nursing and don't want to jeopardize that by cutting too many calories, but I'm making much better food and drink choices and I can tell that it's paying off. So, yay!
Time for bed! My wild man thinks it's fun to wake up at 5am ready to play now. Sean and I are both totally exhausted. It wouldn't be so bad if he were sleeping through the night... but he's not, so I'm in for another long one. Goodnight!

I'm glad you had a good weekend. Charlie went through a very early morning waking phase and still reverts to in every once in awhile. It is exhausting but I sometimes enjoy the quiet alone time with him as well. I hope you get some much deserved rest soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina Ethan sounds like a good little boy only seeing once I know he will turn out to be so handsome.
