Happy Times.

This past weekend was filled to the brim with reasons to smile and celebrate! Friday afternoon, our niece, Braelynn Raye, was born! She is beautiful and I am so very anxious to meet her! For now, I'm enjoying Instagram and Facebook pictures of my brand new niece and her very proud big sister, Taylor. It brings back so many memories of what I was doing exactly a year ago with Gracie and our brand new Ethan!

Friday evening, Ryan graduated from high school. We are obviously very proud of him and excited to see what the future holds for him. We weren't able to be there for his graduation ceremony, but he's with us now! Ryan and Bekah will be spending the week with us. :)

We weren't able to attend Ryan's graduation because we were at Gracie's dance recital! This was her very first recital and it was such a fun, precious experience. When she walked out on that stage for her first dance (ballet), I had to concentrate on not bursting into proud mommy tears. She did such a wonderful job and looked adorable. I was impressed with how comfortable she seemed in front of an auditorium full of people. In fact, all of the little girls did a fantastic job, even the one in our group who stayed completely frozen during rehearsal Thursday evening. Gracie also performed a tap routine. My face literally hurt from smiling so much. The entire recital was wonderful! You could tell that these girls (and guy) love to dance and have been working very hard in preparation for their big night!

We got home late Friday evening. I took my very sleepy baby and rocked him to sleep, aware that the next time I kissed him goodnight, he would be a year old. We spent Ethan's birthday morning at the park, then had a birthday/graduation dinner in honor of our boys once Ryan and Bekah arrived.

Sunday was of course Father's Day. My sister and I joined our dad for church, then took him out to lunch afterwards. Sean also had a very nice day and was even able to get in a nap, thanks to Ryan and Bekah. ;)

Now we're gearing up for party weekend! Ethan's party is on Saturday. We'll be "munching on treats and having fun", Very Hungry Caterpillar style... :)
