Full-Term.

I am officially carrying a "full-term" baby!

At this point, I'm just counting down the days and anxiously awaiting any signs of impending labor. I'm feeling very ready. Our weather has been in the 90s, which is just not a comfortable temperature for anyone. I've tried waiting until the sun actually goes down to get a 15-minute walk in, and even then, it's sticky and humid and just not comfortable. I do realize that I'm lucky to be nearing the end here, before summer really begins!

Ethan seems to be doing very well. I have noticed a slight decrease in his movements and their strength over the past few days. He's still active enough that I am not worried. I think he's just out of room.

While Ethan doesn't keep me up at night, my bladder does. I imagine it is quite a sight to see me attempting to literally roll off the side of the bed, while hips and joints pop with those sleepy steps to the bathroom. Sometimes my legs don't feel properly attached to my body. My lower back hurts most of the day. Driving is actually painful. All of this is amusing to me because I just do not remember feeling this way with Gracie! The difference is likely because while pregnant with Gracie, I wasn't also lifting and caring for the constant needs of a 30-pound child. I try so, so hard not to complain, because I know how blessed I have been with this pregnancy. I know that it could be so much worse (yay for no swelling or heartburn or stretch marks!) and that there isn't a better reason to be uncomfortable, but I'm honestly just ready to meet my baby and have him out of my body. With any luck, he'll make his appearance in just 20 days. In between now and then, I have a baby brunch to look forward to, as well as a completely cleared calendar. I hope to spend as much quality time with Gracie and Sean as possible, while also continuing to make sure every single thing is ready for the little dude. Part of me wants to race on to the finish line, part of me can't believe how quickly the weeks have passed.
