Braelynn Raye.
This past Sunday, our family drove to Greenville, NC to celebrate our niece Taylor's 6th birthday. Her party was held at a bowling alley, which I thought was a great idea, especially for a July birthday! Gracie had never been bowling before, so this was a fun first for her. She even ended up beating the boys she played against. Ethan wandered around the entire time, wanting so badly to get his hands on one of those balls. His cousin, Drew (who is almost 2), was also there, so the boys played together and cheered their sisters on as they bowled. I loved watching Ethan clap for Gracie when her ball knocked the pins down. :)
In addition to celebrating with Taylor, we also met our sweet niece (Taylor's baby sister) Braelynn for the first time! I couldn't wait to hold and snuggle her. After the party, we went back to their house to visit, then ended the evening with a family dinner at Cracker Barrel. 6 adults and 6 children made for quite a group, but the kids were all really well behaved!
I told Sean that he looks good holding newborns... He responded by telling me that I look good holding other people's newborns... I love giving him a hard time about the possibility of us having a third child some day, because he feels strongly that our family is complete. Luckily, I agree with him (on most days). ;)
We have another busy weekend ahead! Ryan and Bekah are coming in to spend the weekend with us. My Granny is also coming in this weekend and staying with my mom. We will be celebrating Austin's 3rd birthday Saturday evening, then will keep on partying with Drew and Madison at their party on Sunday afternoon. This also means that we'll get to see Taylor and Braelynn again. :) I love weekends filled with family and happy occasions!!
Happy Friday!
I forgot your family ALL had summer birthdays! I remember going out to eat with Taylor at Don Juan's when she had just turned a year... and now she's 6????
ReplyDeleteLove your new niece's name, and how they spelled it!
We are so glad that we got to see everyone 2 weekends in a row!!
